The new GORE® Acoustic Vent GAW331 performs at levels not previously achieved:
It maintains excellent acoustic quality and reliable protection against liquid ingress, even after immersion in 30 meters of water, for 10 minutes!
Exceptional Acoustic Quality and Integrity is maintained, as GAW331:
- minimizes attenuation
- holds transmission loss below 2 dB at 1 kHz with a 3 mm vent diameter
Reliable Ingress Protection is assured, as GAW331 meets the most rigorous industry standards:
- ISO 22810 for watches: water-resistant after immersion in 30 m(3 bar) of water for 10 minutes
- IEC 60529 for smartphones: ingress protection ratings of IP67 and IP68
With the typical airflow of 285 ml/min/cm2 (dp = 70 mbar) the new GAW331 achieves the best balance of two competing needs: protecting the housing from immersion, and allowing the housing to
breathe, for high quality sound.
